Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI , I m having severe nausea in the morning and also feeling giddy the whole day. Presently I m taking medicines Ganaton total and famocid 20 twice a day morning and evening before food.Along with this I m also taking Vertin 16 mg(betahistine hydrochloride) twice a day . Though giddyness has reduced to 30% but morning nausea is still there and I start feeling like vomiting in the morning even after taking famocid and ganaton total.I have been taking these medicines since last 15 days.
This could be due to Regurgitation associated with gastric irritation. I would recommend you to switch over from famocid to more potent Pantaprazole 40mg tablets once daily. I would also suggest you to get Upper GI endoscopy to rule out ulcer.
Meanwhile Early morning consumption of Syrup Gelusil 10ml shall help you prevent early morning nausea.
Do let me know for any additional information anytime.
Take care.
Best regards Dr. T. Shobha Deepak
