Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Caused By A Lung Abscess
i had surgery 11 years ago for a lung abcesse (sorry not spelling it right) it involved a lobe removal and ribs were surgically broke could scar tissue from this surgery be causing me pain it dull but very annoying I had a chest xray 2 mo AGO AND IT WAS NORMAL THEY DIDN T SEE ANYTHING ABNORMAL
Since you are having sever pain after surgery for lung abscess, you are suggested to get Imaging tests (X-Ray, CT, MRI) done to rule out the factors that may cause complications & hence pain and discomfort.
After surgical treatment for lung abscess complications may arise like infection, bronchopleural fistula, empyma, pleural fibrosis, etc. You are suggested to get clinically assessed & get treated at the earliest. You may need to get some blood tests & sputum/ swab tests done. Neglect may lead to difficulty in breathing or respiratory problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
