Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain Caused By An Infected Polinital Cyst
Hi, I ve had an infected polinital cyst since last Sunday. Medical tests with needle showed no pus so on Augmentin since Thursday but no improvement. Pain is unbearable. Sitting, walking and laying. Taking 800mg ibuphrophen every 6 hours. Doing hot baths and applying heat. Pressure to urinate constantly --( taking 100mg nitrofurantin twice daily since yesterday). Abdominal bloating, distended and tender -- look 5 mos pregnant. vaginal discharge of dark grey tissue mixed with mucus. Period Jan 9th. Lasted three days. Periods very regular although 49 yrs old. Went to ob/gyn on 16th as black blood discharge for two days -- said pre menopause and normal. Please help...Thanks!
Continue Ibuprofen and use sits bath in warm water for pain relief. Since the symptoms aren't improving on Augmentin, follow up with your physician to see the need for surgical drainage of the cyst and choice of another antibiotic.
