Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Foot After Injury

i hurt my foot while i was on the trampoline in the morning and it didn t get better by about 6:00 pm so my mum took me to a&e and they said it was a bad sprain. i had a walking boot from a past injury so i decided to wear it as it helped me. The pain is starting to go up my leg to my calf. i just wondered if that is normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, welcome to HCM. It is a Sprain . As it is severe, better to avoid the movement of the ankle joint for few days. Go to the same doctor and get the ankle covered by creape bandage . then you can go around. You are sensing the pain as the nerve is irritated. Dont wear that boot if it is tightly covering the foot. The ligaments should recover. It will take more than two weeks for you to recover. Till then dont do much work with that leg. Take care
