General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Pain may not be linked to the surgery. It could be caused by a shoulder osteoarthritis or nay mechanical shoulder pain.Treatment options may include different lines of pain drugs, myorelaxants like miorel, steroids and physiotherapy.
Since you getting off prednisolone already, i will advise you do so progressively to avoid side effects. You may see your Doctor for other lines of pain drugs and myorelaxants. If not help, infiltration with long acting steroids like diprostene and anesthesia may be tried with physiotherapy.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
