Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Waist Post Injury

I fell down the stairs about a week ago and fractured T-7. It has not given me a lot of pain bit I have a great deal of pain at my waist. I have gone to the dr and I have had an MRI on my back and an X-ray on my back and my hip. The hip is fine. The pain I have around my waist is sometimes severe. It is intermittent and I have a burning sensation . Do you have any idea what it is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi, well it is frequent that in this type of fall hematoma formation, even a small one could cause a lot of pain, and become infected, in this cases pain is reducted to a specific area when you can touch a rounded painful mass, anyway hits in waist are very painful for itself thanks to be a very innervated zone, for that reason needs a lot of rest for heals, i recommend to take non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (ibuprofen), muscle relanxant, local ice, and in case of hematoma is necessary an antibacterial.
