I am having serious pain under my right rib cage. I have RA but this seems different. my email address is YYYY@YYYY I already use the services of 5 specialists for various problems. They have my file and know my problems otherwise. I was just wondering if I should proceed to see them or if time would take care of this. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of rib pain & have been diagnosed with RA. You should get physically examined & get all tests for RA done.

Get treated for RA. Since you have RA, you can have pain in the body & ribs as RA triggers Fibromyalgia.

Take NSAIDS & do regular exercises. Other causes can be muscle sprain, injury(fracture, pulled muscle), Costochondritis, Pleurisy, Lung cancer.

Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the disease detected after physical examination & reports of the investigations. Stay away from drug abuse or addictions if any.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
