Hi,
I understand your concern.
Let me recapitalize your case:
- edema in lower legs
- blisters to form
- used compression stockings after the blisters heal
- started with insect bites
- personal history of
varicose veins.
What I can notice from your medical history is that the main cause to your problems are varicose veins which have not been treated adequately so far.
They will cause poor circulation in your legs expressing with edema and breaking out in blisters.
So, the very first thing is to get your blood vessels in the legs checked by Doppler
ultrasound in order to determine the stage of blockage.
After that, we can decide for best treatment:
- stockings only?
- diosmine?
- or surgery.
After you will correct the blood circulation in your legs, I'm sure, your problems with edema and associated blisters will be over too.
You should also check your blood for:
- anemia: complete blood count
- heart problems: complete cardiac check up (ECG,
echocardiogram)
- liver/
kidney problems: liver/kidney function tests, urine analysis
- diabetes: fasting blood sugar;
HbA1C testing
Hope this helps.
