I'm having a virgin infection and I was told it's a virus and it's like a growth on the outside part of my virgin and is spreads what treatment do I need it's been here for two months now? I was given podophyllin and it burns me so bad that I can bearly walk well
Growth outside vagina is commonly due to genital wart. It is caused by human papilloma virus. I would suggest to consult gynecologist and examination is must for diagnosis. Biopsy will confirm HPV infection. Take following treatment under advise of your treating doctor. Skin erosion and pain are more commonly reported podophyllin.
You can use Podofilox: it is safer and more effective than podophyllin
If above medication will not help then go for excision.
You can go for nitrogen cryotherapy: it is best and very less scar after ablation. You can also go for electrocauterization and simple excision. In addition, avoid sex till you clear from infection.
Use safer sex practice: Use condom, Dental dams, Maintain proper pelvic hygiene before and after sex. Take healthy diet and drink plenty of water.
Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.
Best regards, Dr. Sagar
