Suggest Treatment For Severe Vomiting And Abdominal Cramps

My daughter (10) has thrown up two nights over the course of the last 10 days. She has extreme cramps that do not go away until she has thrown up multiple times. Tonight she has extreme cramps and has thrown up to the point of throwing up yellow and dry heaving. What can I do to help her with the extreme cramping?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The key to relieving your daughter is getting a proper diagnoses of her problem and for that, more information is required such as:

-is she running a temperature
- is she passing out watery stools?
- are the stools mixed with blood or not?

Repeated vomiting will lead to dehydration which is a severe condition especially for a child. It will be good to take her to a doctor for review and appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Hope this helps. If you have further query, I will be glad to respond.

Best regards,
Dr Achuo
