Suggest Treatment For Shingles In An Elderly Person

I had shingles 4 months ago. Blood test CA 19-9 showed a 39 reading then month later 42 & 2 months later 62 reading. Subsequently doctor sent me for full body bone scan ( only showed osteoarthritis in spine & thumb bases), chest X-ray ( all clear) abdominal ultrasound ( couple cysts in liver, granulomas in a lung). Told me nothing to worry about. Should I seek help elsewhere or go with what doctor says. Am 65yr female. Thanks Dale.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't know why ca 19.9 was advised. An isolated test of ca 19.9 has no meaning to diagnose any disease. No need to worry if you do not have nay symptom.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Loveleen Sharma, General & Family Physician
