Suggest Treatment For Side Effects Of Marijuana Smoking
Hello I have a question about mental health and drug usage. I used marijuana almost a week ago and experienced what some people may call a psychotic episode. I was seeing things, lost conscious control of my body (for a period of about 15 minutes) but maintained a semi-conscious state whereas I can remember all thoughts and stimulations. The issue here is that I relived the episodes and very short but somewhat undesired traumatic spurs. It has occurs twice with in the last eight hours (once while attempting to sleep and the other upon my friend waking me up - this case was more severe). It has been five days since I smoked the marijuana (I also had two shots of alcohol an hour prior to smoking). I do not understand what is going on any longer. I did not expect to relive these episodes because I thought they were caused from the drug usage. I'm am very concerned about my mental health which has had no issues prior to this.
hello.. welcome to health care magic.. As per reviewing your question, you are naive to cannabis & you have taken first time in life. you have dissociative/ depersonalization experience. It is common to get such kind of experiences in cannabis users for initial taking periods. Some people relive their past traumatic memories & experiences. Especially if your family history is significant for any psychiatry illness, you would experience it more. There is no any antidot available currently to neutralize cannabis effects within hours. It would take variable time from a day to few weeks to get red off completely from its effects for every individual. If you have anxiety symptoms, inner restlessness, feeling tense, sleep problmes than you can take a very low dose of benzodiazepine after consultation with physician to get relieved symptomatically. Personally, I would not recommend you to take/ experience such kind of substances. good luck...
Hi dear, After through your query it appears you took it first time and state which you are describing is of delirious state after taking marijuana. As marijuana dosen't produce any physical dependence and no withdrawal in first time users don't feel too much worried.its affect will be gone by day or two. be carefull not to take it again if things don't improve in a day or two consult a psychiatrist.
