Suggest Treatment For Sinus Infection With Positive Cocci Result
Hello! My 9 year old son has been fighting a sinus/ear infections for the last few months and has been put on several different types of antibiotics. His sputum culture came back as gram positive cocci. Is this serious or how do we treat this? He is currently taking Augmentin ED 600mg. Will this take care of it?

The gram positive coccal infection can be treated with augmentin which is vety effective. Nothing to worry, you can complete these course of antibiotics. The infection will subside in a week. If it is not subsiding, then consult a pediatrician and get it evaluated.
