Suggest Treatment For Skin Rash After Taking Amoxclv
I have developed a rash from taking AMoXCLV 875 125 m. It started on the ankles, and then all over both feet and is spreading up the legs. itches badly especially on the ankle of the right leg. the side effects show this could occur but has never been an incident. Should I discontinue this (since its Saturday) or what would you sugget
STOP Amoxclav IMMEDIATELY and switch over to another safe alternative antibiotic, in consultation with your doctor.
For the allergic reaction, take Prednisolone (10mg thrice daily x 2 days, twice daily x 2 days and, once a day x 1 day; in addition, Cetirizine 10mg thrice daily for 4-5 days till the rash subsides completely.
Contact your doctor IMMEDIATELY if you develop breathing difficulty or any other serious problem.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me and will prescribe the advised drugs in appropriate doses.
