Suggest Treatment For Slight Bleeding And Cramping During Pregnancy

I had an abortion 6 days ago. I was 6 weeks pregnant barely showing. Now I so bloated, I look like I am heading into the 2nd trimester. I bled a little on the day of the procedure and then stopped. Yesterday, at 5 days post, I experience severe cramping which lasted about 30mins, then tapered off. I have been lightly bleeding since a couple of hours before the cramps began. I am currently experiencing minor cramping. I am still taking the antibiotics, doxycycline. Is this normal.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Your symptoms suggest expulsion of remnants of the products of conception after the procedure. Usually it happens for 4-5 days of procedure..to reduce day by day & totally stop thereafter.
The antibiotics & other pills given help in the process, by contracting & expelling the products.this may cause cramps. which are bearable.
Still, if the pain & bloating & bleeding is unbearable you deserve a follow up check up by your doctor.
Do not foment or massage your abdomen. take rest/ continue with the medicines/ take light nourishing food & plenty of water & consult your doctor as per need.
