Suggest Treatment For Social Anxiety

My nephew has social anxiety, difficultly being with people. He now lives in another state and a phone call caused the family concern because he didn t sound right.An ambulance took him to the hospital and the doctors there said he is uncommunicative.Tox screen is negative for drugs. Could he be having a nervous breakdown?

I share your concerns. It could be nerve break down or an extreme form of social anxiety. He needs to be taken to a psychiatrist immediately. No other way. Morever it would be good if some family members can accompany him. Absence of some emotional support may aggravate his problems.

The approach for him should be a management by team of psychiatrist, psychologist, friends, family members.
