Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat And Hoarseness

Hi, have had a throat issue for a few weeks. Started with sore throat, then losing my voice for a day to a caugh which lasted for 5 days. Since then I had a week of feeling ok but now I have to clear my throat every minute, nothing coming up, throat feels tight, some cough, no fever. This has lasted for 10 days. Any idea?

Hi..Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your symptoms you have sore throat, which is mostly due to bacterial infection. Following treatment & remedies may be done .
1.Salt Water Gargle- Mix 1 tsp of salt with warm water in a glass. Gargle for roughly 15-20 seconds and spit out. You can repeat this as needed for 2-3 days. Remember to spit the water rather swallowing it.
2.Sucking on cough drop or candy can cause soothening of throat.
3.Take antibiotic like Augemtin 625/Azithromycin 500mg twice aday.
4. You can also take paracetamol tablet it will reduce pain & swelling.

You will start improving in 3 to 4 days.If problem persist visit a physician
