Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat, Hoarseness And Dry Cough

I he been seeing my doctor for the last two weeks and am on second course antibiotics for trachi-itis although the doctor never looked in my mouth or at my throat. I am still extremely tired have a slightly sore throat, have had a dry hoarseness for some time and dry cough..like trying to clear your throat, also have two red spots on my right inner cheek...

Hi,

2 weeks is a long time to suffer from coughing, sore throat and dry hoarseness like trying to clear the throat, already taking second course of an antibiotic.
As you have mentioned tracheiitis, red spots on inner cheeks I would advise you the following:
Insist on some investigations like that of blood tests, X-ray of chest and CT scan if there is any positive finding.
Oral course of steroids in tapering doses.
Antihistamine and anti-tussive that is to control or suppress the coughing.
Plain water steam inhalation.
Avoid all the factors like fumes, pollen, allergens in any form, chemicals and so on to avoid the instigating factors.
Voice rest to avoid strain on the laryngeal apparatus.
Plenty of oral fluids, particularly water.
Other medicines as per the clinical as well as findings of investigations.
