Hi,
Spondylosis is a condition in which the nerve gets compressed between the vertebraes. Your condition since six years appears to be severe.
When ever you lift any weight in this condition, it transfers the weight on to the vertebrae compressing the nerve, inducing pain in the areas where the nerve supplies.
You can try physiotherapy, limited weight lifting, exercise and cervical collar to increase muscle strength.
If you give me more details regarding the x-ray finding, I can help you more.
You can get back to me with further queries. Happy to help you.
