Suggest Treatment For Spreading Shingles On The Facial Skin

My rash from shingles spread from a small spot by my right ear to half of my cheeck. From yesterday to today. It is about a thumb away from my eye. How much further will it spread?? I was told to wash my face with mild soap and water is that correct??
