Suggest Treatment For Stiff And Sore Arm After Vaccination

My 18 year old daughter just had her booster (2nd) vacination for spinal cocal meningitis. She is complaining about her arm being very sore and stiff and hurts to move. She said that it makes her sick to her stomach when she does move her arm. Is this normal?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. I just red through your question. soreness and stiffness at the injection is very common. If the pain is bad enough it can cause the feeling in her stomach that you describe. I recommend warm compresses to the injection site. If that doesn't work, A dose of Ibuprofin will help.
