Suggest Treatment For Stomach Infection

I am 60 yr old female had an intestinal virus infection i m assuming last week diarrhea, chills, aches, which all but the diarrhea had ended, then last night had chills again and now still having episodes of diarrhea with mucous strands will small amounts of blood. I have a history 8 yrs ago of a colon abscess which was diagnosed as appendicitis, sx was done to remove appendix, clean abscess. also dx as diverticulosis. I am 5 4 165 lbs. please advise

Hello, Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
Diarrhea with blood & mucus in stool with fever & chills suggests either bacterial infection or amoebic dysentery. You have past history of diverticulitis. In this case, you must promptly take appropriate anti biotic. Generally, norfloxacine with tinidazole or some similar anti biotics are given in such case along with paracetamol & dicyclomine for fever and cramps. But I suggest you should visit your doctor for further management.
