Suggest Treatment For Stomach Ulcers

I had an ulcer, took antibiotics and acid reducersand it healed. Later i

had the habit of not eating on time ie: luch at three etc. The ulcer like pain

has returned although i take nexium for acid reflux. I was scoped four years ago for a similiar complaint and i was clear. It feels like the ulcer is back occasionally. I feel better after eating. Is it an ulcer again or just the previuosly infected area unable to heal and sensitive to stomach acids?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Since you get relief with eating, acidity is the reason for your abdominal pain and ulcer is a possibility.
Since it is more than 4 years you underwent an endoscopy, I advise you to get a repeat endoscopy now to look for ulcer.
The most common cause of ulcer is H.pylori infection. So if the endoscopy reveals any ulcer you need to get treated for it for complete relief of symptoms.

Meanwhile you can continue taking Nexium and also take antacid gel for symptom relief.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
