I am 34 weeks pregnant. I am being watched for high blood pressure and am on meds. Anyway I went to the beach for a walk and got sunburned ... Not too bad but my feet and ankles are really swollen. Is it possible to be extra sensitive to the sun while pregnant and is there anything I can do to lessen swelling and discomfort? Thank you very much.
Dear madam,I understand your concern. In pregnancy there is chance of pigmentation on face on exposure to sun. This pigmentation is called chloasma .In this nose and cheeks are affected in butterfly pattern.so better avoid going in sun and if inevitable use sunscreen before going. The swelling of feet and ankle are due to high blood pressure.Take high protein diet ,foot end elevated when lying down along with your prescribed medicines.
