Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Bruising After Spraining Ankle
hello. i had a bad sprain a little over two weeks ago. the bruising is less now, and the swelling but it still hurts conderiably. it heard a pop for certain and the ankle seems very unstable. there is also a notable indentation under the outside ankle and on the side and top of my foot. there is also one on the outside of my calf which also hurts. my friend said i may have ruptured a tension or something? what should I do? i want to make sure this mends properly.
Tendon damage or bone fracture is likely to have ocurred based on your symptoms.I would suggest you to immediately visit your doctor to rule out any fracture or tendonitis. X-ray of the affected ankle is essential. Immobilisation of the joint with cast or crepe bandage may be required along with pain killers. You may need to take rest for a few weeks for the inflammation or fracture to heal.High protein diet is also recommended.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
