Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Lack Of Blood Circulation In Ankle
My left ankle swells up during the day. It also itches, and sometimes I get a stinging feeling like a bee sting in the same place repeatedly. When my foot and ankle are swollen I can see white areas where there seems to be no circulation. My doctor has suggested keeping my leg elevated, which I do mainly in the evening and to wear medium strength support hose. Is this all I should be doing?

IN the given situation, You seems to have suffered from-Long Saphenous Vein Thrombophlebitis with long saphenous nerve neuritis with PAD(peripheral artery disease)
USG with Colour doppler would fix Varicose Vein with thrombophlebitis.
Remedy-
Venostocking
Rest /Elevation of leg edema
EVLT(Endovenous Laser Treatement) with foam coils sclerotherapy to treat-perforationg veins in lower legs.
This plan of treatment would resolve the swelling and lack of blood circulation in ankle.
Blood thinners with NSAIDs with antibiotics x for 2 -weeks prior to EVLT is to be planned for better results.
Consults with Vascular Surgeon would resolve the issue of treating your health issues.
