Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Itchy Red Patches On Arms
I am suffering from raised itchy red patches on my arms. I work in the food service industry and have asked my supervisor about what I could do to prevent these red raised areas on my arms. My supervisor asked me to to just use water, but I continue to get these large red raised areas, which continue to be very irritating.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swollen and itchy red patches on arms. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction, poison ivy, insect bites, bacterial infection of hair follicles and due to allergic reaction or psoriasis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply cold compresses , drink plenty of water and take antihistamine like benadryl twice a day . If condition doesn't get well then consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may order blood tests , urine test and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe allopurinol , immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
