Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Eyelid

My 16 yo son has a swollen left eyelid. It has worsened throughout the day. This morning it looked like he had been crying and the eyelid slightly puffy. He states his EYELID not his eye hurts when he blinks. His eye is currently swollen approximately halfway shit. We have applied ice....no relief. He prefers the warm compress. We had some amoxicillin and I gave it to him just now. He also just took a Motrin. I am wondering if you feel it would be prudent to wait until the morning to see his pediatrician. I am attempting to avoid an ER trip secondary to urgent care now being closed.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is bilateral eye lid swelling then it need to be ruled out for some systemic disease and renal disease would be matter of concern, apart from that it can be due to worm infestation, it can be due to low hemoglobin, it can be due to ophthalmic condition, such case need close observation and great attention hope this information helps.
