Suggest Treatment For Swollen Glands And Sore Throat

My son just called and told me he has swollen glands and a sore throat. He described his throat has black and looks gross. He denies having a fever. I told him to gargle with warm salt water. He states the other day, he had sore gums. He cannot afford the copay for er visit and has no pcp. What does he have, and what course should he take. He is 24 yo


This is worse than prostitution. Preying on I'll people....

Looking at the symptoms,your child might be suffering from Vincent's Angina,which is due to a bacterial infection.
He may find relief by taking the following medications:
Oral antibiotic like Augmentin,
Analgesic with Antiinflammatory like Ibuprofen,
Antacid like Rantac,
and Antiseptic mouth gargles.

Avoid spicy and very hot food.Drink lots of fluids.
