hello, I have been diagnosed to pericoronitis last week due to my upper and lower wisdom tooth. My gums are swollen and i can't open my mouth. My problem is its more than a week now taking antibiotics and anti inflammaory but still i cannot open my mouth. what would be the problem?
thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. the antibiotics and analgesics will reduce the infection temporarily but cause of pericoronitis. if the space is not sufficient for the tooth to erupt then get it removed. it is non functional tooth. you have to take penicillin with metronidazole combination. do saline gargling. i hope my answer will help you. take care.
