Suggest Treatment For Swollen Knees

i fell on my knee a few days ago and i have been able to walk but not without some discomfort. I have applied ice to the swollen area and elevate my leg during the day. What else can i do to alleviate discomfort and increase agility? Is there a need to see my doctor or just let time heal it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Take anti inflammatory drugs such ibuprofen or Naproxen to reduce pain and swelling. Continue with ice compresses and rest. Give yourself more time to regenerate and feel better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
