Hello,

You are suffering from pain and swelling in the throat. You also have pain in the chest and you are suffering this since a year. Your symptoms have been diagnosed as atypical chest pain that may also spread to the back. Pain also spreads to the arms or neck is more characteristic of typical chest pain. Some causes of atypical chest pain may not require treatment and may be clinically monitored by both you and your physician / health care worker. For example, mild musculoskeletal pain, GERD, anxiety or panic attack that does not bother you can be monitored.

However, more serious medical conditions like angina, developing CAD, inflammation of the heart or heart valve disease may require treatment by medications or surgery(if required). Get routine tests, investigations and imaging tests done. In the meantime, avoid undue exertion, stress. Take balanced home made food that is well cooked and boiled. Avoid oily, fried food, packaged food, full fat dairy products, trans fat, refined flour.

Instead take berries, fruits and veggies, whole cereals well cooked, lean meat, small fish and switch to healthy lifestyle, regular walking and exercises. But do not over exert yourself. You can take food cooked in olive oil. Take antacids and PPIs to prevent discomfort due to GERD, acidity as it may trigger chest pain. Avoid constipation. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
