Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
In 2003, i had a complete break of my tibia and fibia. I had a rod and multiple pins put into my leg. i have been doing just fine. A year ago, i was put on aldactone. I now have an issue with a swollen right foot. No pain. I am not sure which doctor i should contact.
The swelling may not be related to your previous injury, it may be completely unrelated.
Your doctor would be able to take a history, examine the area and then determine the best course of action.
Swelling of the lower limbs can be related to: (1)trauma (2)venous disease (3)side effect of medication (4)heart, kidney or liver disease (5)infection (6)joint disease such as arthritis
I hope this helps
