Suggest Treatment For Swollen Tonsils With Dry Rash Below The Chin
i have a 4 year old with swollen tonsils and a cough~ she also has a mild rash below her mouth it started on one side and kinda spread across her chin, it is dry and rough and looks chapped if you will, not sure i though possibly a food allergy, should we see a dr. its been 3 days, its not getting worse, i can discern the cough and tonsils we have been down this road a few times, thanks

The rash seems to be allergic in type. The area is more prone to contact allergies such as new fabric, cosmetics, soaps etc. You may apply lactocalamine lotion on the lesions twice a day and start her on antihistamine such as Chlorpheniramine or fexofenadine for relief. If it persist, then visit a dermatologist for proper clinical examination and definitive treatment.
