Hi! If i were your treating doctor for this case i could go throught some examinations first . Crohn disease normaly does not present as
acid reflux.
Acid reflux disease or Gastroezofageal disease(
GERD) during the time can lead to some more complication ,the serios one is Barret
Esophagus to be more clear about the condition of your esophagus i could do a Esophagogastroduodenoskopy (EGD) also this examination will help you to find out the causes of acid reflux.
Meanwhile you are waitting to go to a gastroenterologist doctor i advice you to keep taking the medication against reflux such as
Ranitidine or Omeprazol and to follow these advise:
-Eat small meal and frequently (every 3 h)
-Last oral intake should be 3h before bedtime
-Elevate the head of the bad by 8 inches.
-Avoid alcohol , caffeine, chocolate, citrus juice, spicy food.
Hope it was a clear answer for you . If you have additional questions please do not hesitate in writting us
.
Wishing you good health.
