Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Angular Cheilitis On Right Corner Of Mouth
I appear to have angular cheilitis on the right corner of my mouth and recently noticed what appears to be a swollen lymph node underneath my chin. What I would like to know is would angular cheilitis cause my lymph nodes to swell or could I be suffering from a more serious condition? Hope to hear from you soon.
As per your complain angular chelitis can occur due to a number of reason like Bacterial, viral or fungal infection, nutritional deficiency, dry and chapped lips etc..
Regional lymphadenopathy or swollen lymph nodes can occur along with angular chelitis in case if the chelitis is associated with infection and it seems to be a cause in your case..
I would suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated and in case of infection medication Oral and topical like antibiotics for bacterial infection, antifungals for fungal infection and antiviral therapy in case of viral infection can be relieving as well as lymph nodes will also reduce in size as the infection will subside..
Keep the area of the lesion clean and dry and apply petroleum jelly over the lesions..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
