Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Conjunctivitis is common in children and may at times be associated with respiratory infections if of viral origin. This may explain her unconfortable breathing. It is mostly caused by respiratory viruses and symptomatic treatment will do.However, bacteria infection or superinfection are possible and will justify the use of antibiotics. It could also be caused by allergy. From the treatment, the Doctor is managing as a bacteria conjunctivitis.I will advise: -You continue with the drugs as prescribed by the Doctor. -You may add an eye pomade like tetracycline which may give more rapid results due to its local action or any other antibiotic eye drop. -Oral steroid like celestene for 5 days may also improve on respiration. -Avoid cold, dust and smoke Hope this will help Best regards
