Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Edema, Cold And High BP

92 year old with normally very healthy constitution and athletic . now has what i think edema and her blood pressure is 184/84/71 and... she now cauht a cold! we have a doctors appointment tomorrow bur she needs caugh medicine can i give her nyquil?

I really appreciate your concern, if this is allergic cough then this may not need any treatment because this may be self limiting if the cough symptoms long last then this need to be investigated, in my opinion no need to give any cough medicine right now, at the most she can be tried with the pure honey 20 ml prior to bed, hope this information helps, have a nice day.

thanks for placing your query om HMC, i read your Question. i think i would be able to help you
her high blood pressure is matter of concern and also her age so i would suggest you to immediately consult a cardiologist to get her BLood pressure under control less than 140/90.
since she has recently developed the cold, so you can give her nyquil for symptomatic relief.
