Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi! Please tell me what are the options for treatment for a complete tear of the anterior talofibular ligament , as shown in my recent MRI (17/05/16) Also, what things can I do to help mitigate the pain until proper ( hopefully curative) procedures can happen? Thank you!
Hello thank you for writing us here. Well you need complete rest and immobilization of your foot. Also you should use diclophenac sodium gel and use a bandage around your ankle for complete immobilization. If you wish, you can also go for plaster around your leg. I would also suggest you to take tramadol for pain management. You'll do fine in 4 to 6 weeks. God bless you
Best regards, Dr Gunjan
