Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection With Lumps On Tongue
Hi im 50 suffer with depression, am 5ft 4in and weigh 10stone. Took speed then felt nervy. Tongue has become swollen, really painful and very lumpy! It has beenlike this since Tuesday. Have been to doc and he said throat infection but think its speed. What can i do

Hello,
Swelling of the tongue is commonly due to food allergies or allergy due to certain medications that you are taking.
Other medical conditions are glossitis, canker sore, bacterial infection, etc.
You are suggested to get throat & tongue clinically examined by an ENT. Get the required blood tests done.
You will be treated with antibiotics, analgesics & anti-depression medications.
In the meantime gargle with war saline water 2-3 times a day. Take food that is not oily, spicy or hot. Stay away from addictions if any.
