Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain While Having Sinus Infection
For the last four weeks, my throat hurts on the lest side when I swallow saliva but feel completely normal when I eat and drink. My nose does feel stuffy but a local MD says a sinus infection is unlikely albeit nasal stuffiness has in the past been linked to issues with my sinus. I have no lumps anywhere on the neck area. I am concerned that these symptoms have lasted as long as this and hence seeking your thoughts and advice as to what this may be and what course of action you would recommend. I look forward to hearing from you.
The symptoms seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I suggest using a throat spray for antibacterial properties. I also recommend using a saline nasal spray. I recommend anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen 400 mg to relieve the inflammation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
