I have been taking Vyvanse for approximately 30-60 days for ADHD. In the last week or so, I started experiencing high-pitched buzzing in my ears. At first, I thought it was something in my house, but yesterday I blocked my ears hard and still heard the buzzing. There are short periods when the buzzing stops, but it only re-occurs.
Is this a dangerous side affect and what happens? Is it permanent, or will it go away if I stop the medicine? Are there any other medicines that do not have this side affect? I also read it causes coronary artery disease. I am 68 year and a very new grandmother for the first time and want to protect my health. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol and am on medicine for these disorders. My family genetics is riddled with heart disease and related issues. My cardiologist told me 2 weeks ago that my right corroded is mildly blocked. Can you answer my questions, and give me your opinion as to a different medicine which may not cause buzzing in my ears, heart conditions, or hardening of the arteries. Also, advise if an alternative natural non-prescription supplement will adequately treat my ADHD.
Thank you.
