I have been smoking tobacco for years but lately afterwards I feel light headed, warm feeling and awful pennies taste in my mouth.Last week was really bad but cos I had a tooth infection nd hadnt realized it started spreading in my blood, blamed it on that.took antibiotics and seemed getting better.Finished the course 2 days ago and now I m starting having same symptoms.at least I m not getting nausea yet.i know smoking is bad but I don't expect causing me this and wouldn't have passed with antibiotics.don't know what to think.help.thanks
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain lightheaded feeling and warmth does not seems to be related to tooth infection , however it seems to be due to side effect of smoking and you need to completely stop smoking.. In case if you have difficulty to stop this addiction, you should take Nicotine Replacement Therapy in the form of nicotine chewing gums and skin patches under supervision of Addiction medicine specialist..
As far as tooth infection is concerned, consult a Dentist and get av x ray of tooth done and in case if tooth can be saved, Root Canal treatment should be done followed by antibiotics and painkillers but in case if tooth cannot be saved, extraction is advisable..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
