Suggest Treatment For Upper Left Abdominal Pain
Hi, I have a son who is about to be 11 years old by December and he had a pain in upper left abdomen, then the doctor saw him and gave him stool softener medication and pain relieved. After 3 days I stopped given him the medication and after few days from stopping medication the pain came back but position change now it is in the umbilical region. I started with the stool softener medication again and he says the pain is less but it is not relived fully. He did Ultra Sound and it was normal.

Most probably due to constipation problems. Give him stool softener and fiber supplement for at least 10 days to see the changes.
Should revise his daily diet, should implement more fiber-rich foods and plenty of water.
It will persist, ask your doctor to run:
- fecal analysis
- stool examination for ova-parasites
- urine analysis
- complete blood count.
