General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Pain in the vagina due to mechanical trauma that occur during the fingering/non penetrative intercourse.
I am sorry to say that thee is no medical test that confirm the intactness of the hymen.
Only experienced gynecologist will tell about the hymen rupture by the vaginal examination.
But only rupture hymen is not the sign of virginity. It also break while during cycling, climbing and horse riding. So do not worry.
For pain take tablet ibuprufen and take warm water sitz bath with added betadine for faster healing.
Hymen is just like membrane, cover the external vaginal opening.
But it is very difficult to say by self examination.
Hope this will help you
