Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Pain Post A Non-penetrative Sex
hello dr, i am virgin never had sex intercourse , a month ago my boyfriend fingered me i felt pain in my vagina for several days and i am very tense about it. i went to 2 gynecology and they told me that there is no way to know if the hymen is intact . i am very depressed and i want to know how can i check it.please advice where the hymen is exactly located? how can i check it by myself ? thank you
Hello dear I understand your concern Pain in the vagina due to mechanical trauma that occur during the fingering/non penetrative intercourse. I am sorry to say that thee is no medical test that confirm the intactness of the hymen. Only experienced gynecologist will tell about the hymen rupture by the vaginal examination. But only rupture hymen is not the sign of virginity. It also break while during cycling, climbing and horse riding. So do not worry. For pain take tablet ibuprufen and take warm water sitz bath with added betadine for faster healing. Hymen is just like membrane, cover the external vaginal opening. But it is very difficult to say by self examination. Hope this will help you
