Suggest Treatment For Viral Infection And Severe Sore Throat
Hi doctor, I have viral infection and severe sore throat. It hurts a lot while coughing and swallowing. I had consulted a doctor and followed his advice of having soups, fluids, steam and gargling. I am also using betadine for gargle apart from normal saline water. All this has not helped much. Only eating honey soothes the throat. Can you please help?

Continue with gargling and taking hot fluids and honey also will help.
Take a course of antibiotic azithromycin 500 mg tablet once a day for 3 days.
For cough can take 5 to 10 ml of cough syrup like benadril.
Also pracitamol 500 mg can help you with the pain and fever
