Suggest Treatment For Viral Throat Infection

My daughter has a viral throat infection which causes her to cough. She is asthmatic and her Dr. prescribed Prednisone for wheezing and Hydrocodone for the cough. When she coughs she says if feels like her eye is going to pop out. Her eye is solid red above the lens. Should we be concerned about the redness and the eye feeling like it might pop out?

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection.
I suggest to continue the treatment as prescribed by your doctor.
The redness in the eye is normal in this diagnosis and will go away gradually.
She can use artificial tears to soothe the inflammation.
J also suggest to rest and drink liquids.
