Suggest Treatment For Vitamin D And B12 Deficiency With Chronic Gastritis

Hello Sir, I had a hair transplant done in dec 2012. The doctor advised me to begin exercise after 3 weeks. Unfortunately, I had a black out at the gym and also injured my chest muscle and since then I had problems like dizziness, weakness, tingling sensation inside my head, breathlessness, eye burn and bloating of the stomach. I got my blood tests done, vitamin d was low, vitamin b12 was low, c-reactive protein was present and the rest seemed normal. however, since the past one year i was visiting doctors on and off. I was prescribed vitamin b12 shots, calcium tablets, stalopam, etilaam. However, I still have problems like I cannot exercise because after that my body takes a hell lot of time to recover and that night i will have problems of gas. So finally i got a endoscopy done found out that i had moderate chronic gastritis. i continued medication of rabemed, pantocid, folvite and pegmove for 10 days. i went to exercise on the 12th day. I did 10 minutes of jogging, 10 minutes of cycling and then in the evening, I became restless, gases and then had to take pudin hara and a stalopam to control the anxiety as well. Today morning, i showed the doctor again and he asked me to check my vid d and b12 again. He prescribed me pantosec dr and vsl#3 now. Do you think i am going in the r8 direction. Kindly let me know your comments.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The vitamin D levels should be repeated to know whether it is within range.
If vitamin D is still low, vitamin D supplements should be taken.
Chronic gastritis is managed by proton pump inhibitors and antacids and your medication shows that you have been prescribed with relevant medications.
Chronic gastritis is a common cause of vitamin B12 deficiency because vitamin B 12 is absorbed in the stomach.
Inflammation of stomach inhibits absorption of vitamin B 12.
Thus, vitamin B 12 supplements should be taken regularly.
The weakness, dizziness, breathlessness, tingling sensation etc are suggestive of anemia.

I suggest you to get complete hemogram and peripheral blood examination.
Consultation with a gastroenterologist will help.

Thanks and take care
