Hello,

Depression is very commonly seen these days and it’s great that you are seeking help for this. I suggest you consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist for the same. Few counseling sessions will help and if needed some medicines will be prescribed by your doctor. For the weight gain, my advice is, you should visit a dietitian. You will be provided with a diet chart which will be helpful to gain weight as every person’s body differ so do the metabolism, so depending on that a dietitian will be the best one to guide you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
