Suggest Treatment For Welts In The Ankles And Lower Legs

I am having red welts come up on my ankles and lower legs mostly. They first appear like an insect bite. They itch terribly. They will go down to a red dot and welt up again later. I also have a few on my arms. I have checked the bed and see nothing. My husband has no welts and we sleep in the same bed. Sit on the same couch. I m beginning to think is internal.

Hello,

In my opinion, you should definitely consult a dermatologist and get done a clinical examination of skin lesions. Possibility of parasitic infection is more likely. You may need biopsy from the skin to identify parasitic infection.

You will need anthelminthic drugs, antihistamine creams and steroid creams for local application. Don't worry, you will be alright but first diagnose yourself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
